The course is designed to bring awareness of factors and considerations for review within the business employment screening/background check process and procedures for improvement of process or implementation of new practices.  

The key learning objective is to bring awareness of the following when considering criminal records as part of the hiring/onboarding process:

-        PA Criminal History Records Information Act

-        EEOC guidelines + Individualized Assessment

-        “Ban-the-box” legislation

-      FCRA, incl. Adverse Action process
